Welcome to the Gypsies World of Warcraft Guild website Minimize

The Gypsies are an online gaming guild geared toward having fun, making friends, and otherwise getting full enjoyment out of the World of Warcraft.  We're young but quickly growing, and we approach the game with a helpful and playful attitude. You can find us on the US Terokkar server, on the Alliance side.

Why join the Gypsies?

  • We help each other out doing quests, instances, and raids. (Don't expect us to carry you, though!)
  • We are building up the guild with the goal of being a high level raiding guild, but we won't forget that the game is played to have fun.
  • We don't enforce any player builds, although we can offer advice on how to fine tune yours.
  • You get a free guild Tabard.
  • Ventrilo voice chat available for Dungeons and Raids.
  • We're just a little kooky, and we bet you'll fit right in.
  • Need something crafted?  Need an enchant?  Any guild member will do it for you with your mats, no tip required.
  • Lockboxes opened for free!  Mail them to Skelnik, and he'll mail them back unlocked.
  • We do our best to keep drama at a minimum.

Of course, being a Gypsy comes with some responsibilities, as well.  You're expected to pitch in and help out your fellow guildies, and otherwise be a positive part of the team.  It's not that difficult, though, and contributions get noticed and rewarded!

If you're interested in joining the Gypsies, contact Llij or Adrellis in-game.

Enhanced Loot rollsEnhanced Loot rolls - February 5, 2010

As part of becoming a more structured guild and making raid ranks a meaningful part of guild life we are adding benefits to the loot rolls for ranked players. Ranked players get these benefits because we are holding you to a higher standard and expect you to consistantly deliver a positive contribution to every raid experience you attend. Here is the outline. The rolls are still a /roll system and random chance is involved. Currently we are doing 1st roll: main spec did not, 2nd roll: main spec did, 3rd roll off spec, the close to DE.

1st roll: Raid rank 1 players did not get an item.

2nd roll: Raid rank 2 players who haven't got an item and raid rank 1 players who did get an item.

3rd roll: Non raid ranked players main spec who did not get an item. ( members and below)

4th roll : off spec

Finally closed to DE

Membership and Guild rank : newsMembership and Guild rank : news - December 29, 2009

Please be aware that Raid ranks will be changing their quailification criteria within the next few weeks. This change is being created to keep up with the content expansion. This may result in some currently ranked players being deranked if they have not kept up their characters. Of course ranks can be reapplied for once the toon meets eligibility.

News will also be coming out for the way in which we will control the ICC25 tokens for distribution within the guild, this information will first be shared during the raid and later updated in our forums.

Happy November GuildiesHappy November Guildies - November 10, 2009

A brief update of the guild for november.

Toc 10 and Toc25 have been fully cleared, while 25 is not yet considered on farm we have started  to explore the heroic version of ToC 10. I'm proud to say that our clearing has been completely guild based.

We have been passing out a lot of loot lately and with the successes in our raiding nights even finding we have a free night occasionally during the week, simply as we have completed all raid objectives that week.

Thirdly, I would like to welcome Amaunator back. Many of you remember Ama from before and we are all happy to have him back to the guild and officers circle after his leave from the game over the summer.

House cleaning reminders:

Attendence has been very good up around 85- 95% of people who sign up show up. We have also had many 100% attendence runs in the last two months. Thank you to those of you who show your guildmates the respect and consideration to make a point of attending raid events and further that you have been fully prepared.

The reminder is that if your plans change, please do everything in your power to unsign up for a run, the more time you can give us to locate an appropriate replacement the better, but any time is better then leaving your name on an event where we will be expecting you. The normal charge for a no show-no notice is 500gold to the guild bank which the guildies who attended the last guild meeting decided and agreed upon. I am very happy to say that very few people have had to pay this fine.  Remember your raid leader or guildmaster may consider particular emergency circumstances in relation to this noshow fine.

Raid ranks: Raid ranked players in good standing will be given priority access to an event. This consideration will extend up to the day before an event is scheduled. I ask that raid ranked players continue to sign for the events at their earliest opportunity.  Raid rank 1 > Raid rank 2 > member/casual

*officers and veterans are RR1 at this time in consideration for event confirmation

Please expect an update to raid ranking qualifications after this next up coming patch.
