The Gypsies' guild bank has been established in order to provide mutual benefit for everyone in the guild.  The bank is to help our guild members, and in particular to help our guild members help each other.

Our guild bank policies are as follows:

Gold

  • Gold is being allowed to accumulate.
  • When there is a suitable amount available (about 1000-2000g), guild members will be granted a daily withdrawal allowance for repairs.

Tabs

  • Please read the bank tab description in order to know what should go in the tab.
  • Anyone can deposit items.
  • If there is plenty of one item already in the bank, you should probably sell it in the auction house instead.
  • If you see an item that will benefit you (something that helps you level a skill, or craft something for in-guild use), you're welcome to it.

What items we are looking for:

  • We are mainly looking for raw materials for various professions and classes.
    • Meat for cooking and hunters pets.
    • Cloth for tailors and bandages.
    • Leathers, herbs, metals, and uncut gems.
    • Raw enchanting materials from disenchants.
    • Large bags (20-slot or more)
    • Raid Supplies such as Fish Feats, Potions, Flasks, and Cauldron materials.
    • Enchanting Scrolls, but only end-game enchants or Heirloom enchants.
  • We are also looking for recipies, patterns, and and formulas, but only ones that cannot be purchased from a vendor somewhere (rare or epic, please).

What we are not looking for:

  • White items that can be picked up at any vendor.
  • Bandages.  The raw cloths are more valuable in that they have several different uses.  If someone can use a level of bandages, they can probably make them themselves.
  • Grey items (need I even have to say this?)
  • Armor and Weapons.  These have a very slow turnover rate, and take space that can be used for more useful items.  You're better off sending them to the AH or your nearest enchanter.
  • Quest items that are only useful for individual quests, unless the quests are repeatable for reputation.
  • Low-level materials.  We're an end-game raiding guild, so we would like end-game materials in our bank.
  • Small Bags.
  • Glyphs (there are just too many types to be kept in a guild bank.)
  • The junk you can't sell in the AH.  Vendor it.
  • Again, we don't need bandages!

What you should withdraw:

  • Materials that will directly help you level up your professions or help you craft something for yourself or a guildie.
  • Recipes, patterns, and formulas you could use.
  • Consumables such as potions and armor kits you could use.
  • Anything that's useful to you right now, really.

All we ask is that you please don't withdraw an item to sell it for cash, unless you intend to put that cash back into the guild bank.  We have and will withdraw Guild Bank privs from looters.

This post will be updated as the guild bank policies evolve and change.  Please post your questions below.

Sadly; We've had to remove the privilages of a few members access to the guild bank.  What we're seeing is relatively low level players maxing out their daily limits with taking all the highest level items. It is our belief that these people are selling the items to make easy coin. This is not in the interest of the Guild. Members who behave in this manner, (which we can verify on the log) will be suspended from the bank until they are able to show support for the guild in a consistant way.
